Chapter 2 Vocab

TermDefinition
Order of Operations set of rules used to evaluate a numerical expression
Venn Diagram circles used to describe relationships between two or more sets.
Common Factors factors that are shared by two or more numbers
GCF greatest of the common factors
LCM lest of the common multiples
LCD two or more fractions is the last common multiple of the denominators
Reciprocals write the number as a fraction, then invert the fraction. two numbers whose product is 1
Dividing Mixed Numbers Write the mixed number as a improper fraction. Then divide as you would with proper factions
Adding/Subtracting Decimals write the numbers vertically and line up the decimal points. Bring down the decimal point and add or subtract as you would with whole numbers
