anagram a word or phrase created from moving around the letters of a different word or phrase.
assertion a belief statement.
banter an exchange of light, playful, teasing remarks;
coherent logically connected; consistent:
congenital of or relating to a condition present at birth, whether inherited or caused by the environment, especially the uterine environment.
connotation the suggesting of an additional meaning for a word or expression, apart from its explicit meaning.
dissolute indifferent to moral restraints; given to immoral or improper conduct;
epithet any word or phrase applied to a person or thing to describe an actual or attributed quality: “Richard the Lion-Hearted” is an epithet of Richard I.
foreshadow to show or indicate beforehand;
fulminate to explode with a loud noise; detonate; to issue condemnation;
goad something that encourages, urges, or drives; a stimulus.
inexplicable incapable of being accounted for or explained.
lucid easily understood; completely intelligible or comprehensible
noncommittal indefinite, vague, equivocal, evasive, guarded;
nostalgic a sentimental or wistful yearning for the happiness felt in a former place, time, or situation.
novice a person who is new to the circumstances, work, etc., in which he or she is placed; beginner;
proboscis any long, flexible snout;
quixotic extravagantly chivalrous or romantic; visionary, impractical, or impracticable; impulsive and rashly unpredictable.
stipend a periodic payment, especially a scholarship or fellowship allowance granted to a student; fixed or regular pay;
surmise to think or infer without certain or strong evidence; conjecture; guess.
