| point | specific location in geometry |
| line | extends in both directions without ending |
| plane | examples include a floor or tabletop |
| collinear | points on the same line |
| coplanar | points on the same plane |
| intersection | set of points in two figures (ex. points on two lines) |
| space | set of all points |
| length | distance between two endpoints on a segment |
| opposite rays | rays that share an endpoint but go in different directions |
| congruent | figures that have the same size and shape |
| midpoint | points that divides a segment into two congruent segments |
| bisector | line, segment, ray, or plane that intersects a segment at its midpoint |
| angle | figure formed by two rays with the same endpoint |
| sides | rays that form an angle |
| vertex | common endpoint shared by two rays of an angle |
| adjacent angles | share a side and a vertex |
| angle bisector | a ray that divides an angle equally into two halves |
