equidistant | the same distance away from some point |
point | specific location in geometry |
line | extends in both directions without ending |
plane | examples include a floor or tabletop |
collinear | points on the same line |
coplanar | points on the same plane |
intersection | set of points in two figures (ex. points on two lines) |
space | set of all points |
length | distance between two endpoints on a segment |
opposite rays | rays that share an endpoint but go in different directions |
congruent | figures that have the same size and shape |
midpoint | points that divides a segment into two congruent segments |
bisector | line, segment, ray, or plane that intersects a segment at its midpoint |
angle | figure formed by two rays with the same endpoint |
sides | rays that form an angle |
vertex | common endpoint shared by two rays of an angle |
adjacent angles | share a side and a vertex |
angle bisector | a ray that divides an angle equally into two halves |
