Saturated Solution A solution that contains as much solute as possible at that temperature.
Dilute Solution A liquid that contains more solvent than solute.
Concentrated Solution A liquid that contains more solute than solvent.
Insoluble When a solid does not dissolve in a solvent.
Soluble When a solid dissolves in a solvent.
Solute The substance that dissolves in a solution.
Solvent The substance in which the solute dissolves.
Solution Formed when a solute dissolves in a solvent.
Crystallisation The formation of crystals by cooling a saturated solution.
A Mixture Consists of two or more substances mingled together but not chemically combined.
