| Resolution\Denouement | End of a story in which any unanswered questions |
| Oral l-Literature | literature that was originally not written down but was memorized and recited |
| Point Of View (POV) | The perspective from which a story is told |
| First person (POV) | the story is told from the point of view of a character in the story |
| Third person (POV) | The story is told by someone who is outside the story |
| Omniscient (POV) | the narrator knows everything about the characters and events and reveals details that even the characters themselves could not reveal |
| Limited Omniscient (POV) | The narrator is outside the story and knows the thoughts and feelings of some (but not all) characters |
| Protagonist | The central character in literary world around whom the action revolves |
| Setting | The time and place in which the events of a literary work occur |
| Suspense | A feeling of curiosity or dread about what will happen next in a story |
