| Resolution\Denouement | End of story In which any unanswered questions are typically answered. |
| Oral Literature | Literature that was originally not written down but was memorized and recited |
| POV | The perspective from Which a story is told |
| First POV | The story is told from the point of view of a character in the story. |
| Third POV | The story is told by someone who is outside the story. |
| Omniscient POV | the narrator knows everything about the characters and events and reveals details that the character even themselves could not reveal. |
| Limited Omniscient POV | The narrator is outside the story and know the thoughts and feelings of some ( but not all) characters. |
| Protagonist | The central character in literary work around whom the action resolves. |
| Setting | the time and place in which the events of literary work occur. |
| Suspense | A feeling of curiosity or dread about what will happen next in the story |
