Banal So lacking in originality as to be obvious and boring
Cliche A phrase or opinion that is overused and betrays a lack of original thought
Derivative (Typically of an artist or work of art) imitative of the work of another person, and usually disapproved of for that reason
Hackneyed (Of a phrase or idea) lacking significance through having been overused; unoriginal and trite.
Insipid Lacking vigor or interest, lacking flavor
Lackluster Lacking in vitality, force, or conviction; uninspired or uninspiring; dull
Mundane Lacking interest or excitement; dull; earthly
Platitude A remark or statement, especially one with a moral content, that has been used too often to be interesting or thoughtful.
Prosaic Having the style or diction of prose; lacking poetic beauty; common
Trite (Of a remark, opinion, or idea) overused and consequently of little import; lacking originality or freshness.
Vapid Offering nothing that is stimulating or challenging
