Hackneyed lacking significance through having been overused; unoriginal and trite.
Insipid lacking flavor.
Lackluster lacking in vitality, force, or conviction; uninspired or uninspiring.
Mundane lacking interest or excitement; dull.
Platitude a remark or statement, especially one with a moral content, that has been used to often to be interesting or thoughtful.
Prosaic having the style or diction of prose; lacking poetic beauty.
Trite overused and consequently of little import; lacking originality or freshness.
Vapid offering nothing that is stimulating or challenging.
