TermDefinition
Power A number multiplied by itself.
Base The number that is going to be raised to a power.
Exponent The number that states how many times to multiply the base.
Exponential Form A number or expression written with an exponent.
Square Root A number that when multiplied by itself gives the original number or area of a square; length of a side of a square
Cube Root A number that when multiplied by three times itself gives the original number or volume of a cube; length of a side of a cube.
Repeating Decimal Has one or more digits following the decimal point that repeat endlessly.
Terminating Decimal Has a finite or limited number of digits following the decimal point.
Rational Numbers Real numbers that can be written as a ratio or fraction.
Irrational Numbers Real numbers that cannot be written as a ratio or fraction.
