| Tornado | Strong wind that comes from clouds |
| Hurricane | A large storm that starts over the ocean |
| Thermometer | A weather tool used to measure temperature |
| Precipitation | Water that falls from the sky as rain, snow, sleet or hail |
| Anemometer | A weather tool used to measure the wind speed |
| Wind Vane | A weather tool used to measure the direction of wind |
| Rain Gauge | A weather tool used to measure the amount of rain that has fallen over a period of time. |
| Beaufort Scale | A weather tool that measures the speed of wind based on a scale. |

| Summer | The weather is hot. We go to the beach and spend time outside. We celebrate the 4th of July. |
| Winter | The weather is cold. The leaves have fallen off the trees. We celebrate Christmas and New Year's Day. |
| Spring | The weather is warm and rainy. The flowers are beginning to grow again and animals are hatching. We celebrate St. Patrick's Day and Easter. |
