Scientific Method

Ts 5th grade scientific method test

Scientific Method A method of investigation to explore and discover.
1. Question What do I want to know? testable, specific, interesting. A question you ask that will show how changing one thing can change another thing.
2. Hypothesis A prediction of what will happen. IF ______, then _______ because_____.
3. Gather Materials Gather materials you need to perform experiment.
4. Experiment List procedures and perform experiment. Sometimes more than once.
5. Analysis/Observe Record what happened; look for patterns. graph, chart, table
6. Conclusion Does data support / reject hypothesis? What could have affected results? What would I change?
