| Circumlocution | the use of many words where fewer would do, especially in a deliberate attempt to be vague or evasive. |
| Colloquial | used in ordinary or familiar conversation; not formal or literary. |
| Diffuse | spread or cause to spread over a wide area or among a large number of people. |
| Digress | leave the main subject temporarily in speech or writing. |
| Eloquence | fluent or persuasive speaking or writing. |
| Garrulous | excessively talkative, especially on trivial matters. |
| Grandiloquent | pompous or extravagant in language, style, or manner, especially in a way that is intended to impress. |
| Loquacious | tending to talk a great deal; talkative. |
| Prattle | foolish or inconsequential talk. |
| Rant | a spell of ranting; a tirade. |
| Rhetorical | relating to, or concerned with the art of speaking or writing formally and effectively. |
| Verbose | using or expressed in more words than are needed. |
| Voluble | speaking or spoken incessantly and fluently. |
