| circumlocution | the use of many words where fewer would do, especially in a deliberate attempt to be vague. |
| colloquial | in ordinary or familiar conversation; not formal or literary. |
| diffuse | spread or cause to spread over a wide area among a large number of people. |
| digress | leave the main subject temporarily in speech or writing. |
| eloquence | fluent or persuasive speaking or writing. |
| garrulous | excessively talkative, especially on trival matters. |
| grandiloquent | pompous or extravagant in language, style, or manner especially in a way that is intended to impress. |
| loquacious | tending to talk a great deal; talkative. |
| prattle | talk at length in a foolish or inconsequential way. |
| rant | speak or shout at length in a wild, impassioned way |
| rhetorical | expressed in terms intended to persuade or impress |
| verbose | using or expressed in more words than are needed |
| voluble | speaking or spoken incessantly and fluently. |
