| speaker | the person who is talking/speaking in a text - often the narrator |
| summary | brief or comprehensive retelling of events |
| timeline | a schedule of events in order of time |
| sequence | an order of succession |
| supporting detail | detail supporting the main idea or your answer |
| static character | a literary or dramatic character who undergoes little or no inner change |
| sound devices | strategies used by writers to help express more meaning about a poem or events in literature |
