| Neon Lights | Lights commonly used in advertising. |
| Radio Waves | Waves with the longest wavelength and lowest frequency. |
| Ultraviolet Waves | Waves that help your body make vitamin D. |
| Photon | A packet of light energy. |
| Sodium Vapor Light | A light in which neon or argon is heated until it causes sodium to change from a solid to a gas. |
| Electromagnetic Radiation | Energy that is transferred by electromagnetic waves. |
| Photoelectric Effect | When you shine a light on certain substances causing electrons to flow. |
| Visible Light | The part of the electromagnetic spectrum you can see. |
| Thermogram | Identifies the warm and cool parts of an object by using infrared rays. |
| Incandescent Bulb | A light bulb that glows when a filament inside it gets hot. |
| Fluorescent Bulb | A light bulb that glows when current causes ultraviolet waves to strike a coating of powder. |
