What is the acceleration zone in a merge section used for? To have enough speed to merge safely
What is the expressway? It is a limited-access or controlled-access highway
What are the four main interchanges? Cloverleaf, Diamond, Trumpet, and All-Directional interchange
What are the three parts of Expressway Entrances? The entrance ramp, acceleration ramp, and the merging area
When is it okay to tailgate? Never
What is the IPDE process stand for? Identify, Predict, Decide, and Execute
What is a wolf pack? And should you avoid them? They are packs of cars that are close together on the expressway and yes you should always try to avoid them
What are blind spots? They are spots that are not in your line of sight and require you to move more to see
Why is it bad to merge into someone? Because it could result in a serious crash and possibly a fatality
What should you do to stop a tailgater? You should try and switch lanes when safe enough to do so
What is important to know when wanting to change lanes? You should always change lanes one at a time never try and skip a whole lane
What is common speed? Common speed is the speed used by most drivers
What should you do if driving in a area with no posted speed limit You should follow the basic speed law and drive at a safe speed for the road and conditions
What is the minimum speed limit mean? That means the lowest legal speed you can drive at in that area
What is a Median? A area of ground that separates moving traffic
What is a exit ramp? An area that allows you to exit the expressway
What can happen if you go to slow? You can get rear-ended or pulled over
What line means you can pass? A broken yellow line
What line means you can't pass? A solid yellow line
