1st ammendment free practice of religion is protected as well as freedom of speech
8th ammendment prohibits excessive bail, fines, and cruel and unusual punishment
3rd ammendment the government cannot place soldiers in private homes
9th ammendment the rights of the people are not limited to the rights listed in the constitution
10th ammendment all powers not given to the U.S. Gov. are left to the states or the people
6th ammendment the right to legal representation and a jury of one's peers
5th ammendment the right to not testify in court
4th ammendment the government cannot conduct unreasonable search and seizure of property
2nd ammendment the right to keep and bear arms
7th ammendment the right to be tried by a jury for civil cases
