pituitary gland A small gray gland located at the base of the brain.
master gland Basically its of the body because of its regulatory effects on the other endocrine glands.
anterior lobe secretes several hormones that are essential for the growth and development of bones, muscles, other organs, sex glands, the thyroid gland, and the adrenal cortex.
pineal gland a small, pine cone–shaped gland located near the posterior end of the corpus callosum
thyroid gland a large, bilobed gland located in the neck. It is anterior to the trachea and just below the thyroid cartilage
