Protaganist The main character in a work of literature

Personififcation A figure of speech in which an object or animal is spoken of as if it had human feelings, thoughts or attitudes
Imagery Writing intended to re-create a person, place, thing, an event, or an experiencce
Dialouge Conversation between two or more people as a feature in a work of literature
Charecterization The way a writer reveals information to the reader about a character
Allusion A reference to a statement, a person , place, an event from literature, the arts, history, religion, politics, sports, or science
Symbolism In literature a person place thing or event that has meaning in itself
Tone The attitude a writer takes towards his or her subject, characters, and audience
Suspense The uncertainty or anxiety a reader feels about what wil happen next in a story
Irony A contrast between what is expected and what actually happens
