Chapter 2:Chemical Reactions

Chemical Reaction changes that make one or more new substances, chemical bonds are formed and/or broken, usually cant be reversed.
Endothermic Reaction absorbs energy, lowers the temperature of its surroundings.
Exothermic Reaction releases energy in the form of heat, like when fuel is burned.
Chemical Equation uses chemical formulas to summarize a chemical reaction.
Product substances after the reaction is done.
Reactant substances at the beggining
Coefficent A numerical measure of a physical or chemical property that is a constant for a system under specified conditions.
Catalyst substance that increases the speed if reaction by lowering the activieation energy.
Inhibitor slow down reactions by preventing reactants from coming together.
Combustion a rapid reaction involving oxygen and a fuel
Fire Triangle need fuel, oxygen, and heat for a fire.
