Which of the following best describes a theory in terms of how we used it for the Literary Essay A theory is an idea that a reader has from reading the text (similar to an inference).
What is the thesis in an essay? The thesis is the sentence in an essay that states the claim/opinion which can be backed up with textual evidence.
What is the difference between reasons and evidence in a Literary Essay? Reasons are general statements that support the cliam and evidence is the specific details from the story that support the claim.
What is plagiarism? Plagiarism is when a writer uses another writer's ideas without citing.
What is the difference between chronological and priority structure? Chronological structure puts ideas in order or now they happened and priority puts ideas in order based on importance.
