Public Speaking

TermDefinition
introduction Words that will grab the audience's attention. The paragraph that introduces the place and setting.
Body The main section...your message to the audience.
Conclusion The summary of your speech, or how you wind it up.
memorize To learn and know by heart.
tone The quality or character of sound.
eye-contact Looking at the audience while speaking.
enthusiasm A lively interest in the subject you are speaking about.
audience The group of spectators you are speaking to.
composition Your choice of information, organization of material and use of language in your speech.
delivery You speak fluent, smooth and appear relaxed.
pronunciation You speak using the correct pronunciation of a word.
articulation You speak clear and are easy to understand.
