Financial Terms
| Term | Definition |

| Currency | the system of money that is used in a particular country at a particular time |
| Creditor | person, organization, or government that is owed money |
| Profit | money that is earned in trade or business, especially after paying the costs of producing and selling goods and services |
| Interest | money that is charged by a bank or other financial organization for lending money |
| Deposit | an amount of money that someone pays into a bank account |
| Instalment | one of a number of parts into which an amount of money that is owed has been divided. Payments are made regularly until the total amount has been paid back |
| Revenue | money that a company receives, especially from selling goods or services |
| Pension | a regular income paid by a government or a financial organization to someone who no longer works, usually because of their age or health |
| Budget | the amount of money you are allowed to spend for a particular purpose |
| Stake | the amount that someone has invested in a company, often expressed as a percentage of the total share capital (= money invested in a business in the form of shares) |
