QuestionAnswer
The dictionary tells you: a word's meaning, how the word is used, and the origins
Guide words The first and last entries on the page
The part of the speech n.= noun, adj.= adjective, v.= verb
The origin where the word comes from
An entry word a word, phrase, or name that is the subject of and heading for an entry in a dictionary
Pronunciation key Show you which letters represent each sound
Numbered definition Different meanings of a word, and it is separated by numbers

Use these flashcards to help memorize information. Look at the large card and try to recall what is on the other side. Then click the card to flip it. If you knew the answer, click the green Know box. Otherwise, click the red Don't know box.

When you've placed seven or more cards in the Don't know box, click "retry" to try those cards again.
