SOLUBILITY RULES

QuestionAnswer
Nitrates ( NO3) and acetates are generally soluble
compounds of the alkali metals and the ammonium ion are generally soluble
Chlorides, bromides, and iodides are generally soluble soluble
Sulfates (SO₄2) are generally soluble
Sulfates that are insoluble are PbSO4 (Lead Sulphate), SrSO4 (Barium sulfate)
Sulfides ( S2−) are generally insoluble
Hydroxides (OH−) are generally insoluble
All inorganic acids are soluble
