What are terraces? Flat strips of level land that helped the Incas plant their crops.
What did they do with the terraces? They used them to farm crops.
Why were terraces needed to farm in the Andes? Farmers grew a wide range of crops.
What was the Inca empire like at its height? The empire was prosperous, stable, and peaceful.
How was Inca society divided? It was divided into 2 parts.
Why were religious rituals important to the Inca? They were able to bring good harvests and win the gods' favor.

Where did the Incas settled? In the Cuzco valley.
When did the Inca Empire start? Early 1400s
When did the Incas settle in Cuzco valley? In 1200
When did Pachacuti become the Inca ruler? In 1438
How was inca society divided? It was divided into two parts nobles and commoners.
What was cusco? A city in Peru Ancient Inca ruins.
