These are the terms and definitions for Chapter 1-Math Vocabulary

QuestionAnswer
Factor Name given to each number being multiplied
Exponential Form A number that can be written using an exponent
Cubed The product in which the number is a factor three times
Dividend The number to be divided
Numerical Expression A mathematical phrase that contains ONLY numbers and operation symbols
Exponent In a power, the number of times the base is used as a factor
Squared A number multiplied by itself
Power A number written with its base and exponent
Divisor The number by which the dividend is divided
Quotient The answer to a division problem
Base In a power, the number used as a factor
