QuestionAnswer
Ask the waiter if they have a table for two people. Haben Sie ein Tisch fuer zwei, bitte?
Say that you would like to sit in the garden. Ich moechte ins Garten sitzen.
Say that you would like a Hamburger with chips with a glass of orange juice. Ich moechte ein Hamburger mit Pommes and ein Glas Orangensaft, bitte.
Say that you would like to pay. Ich moechte bezahlen.
Ask how much you need to pay. Was kostet das?
Ask where the toilets are. Wo sind die Toiletten?
Greet the waiter. (It's the evening) Guten Abend.
Tell him/her that you hwave reserved a table for 6 people.
Spell your surname (Smith). Ess-emm-ee-tay-hah.
Say that you don't eat meat and that you'd like fish instead. Ich esse nicht Fleisch. Kann ich Fisch essen, bitte?
Answer:Was moechten Sie trinken? (Cola) Ich moechte Cola trinken.
There is no salt or pepper on the table- ask for some. Es gibt kein Saltz oder Pfeffer auf der Tisch. Kann ich
Ask for a dish from the menu (make it up). Ich moechte _______, bitte.
Ask for the bill. Ich moechte die Rechnung, bitte.
Say that you're paying separately. Wir mogen die Rechnung getrennt bezahlen.
Say that you're paying with cash. Ich moechte mit Bargeld.
Say goodbye to the waiter. Auf Wiedersehen.
