Linear Relationships
Term | Definition |

Sequence | A list of numbers in a specific order |
Independent | Any variable that is being manipulated. Also known as the input value of an algebraic relationship. |
Dependent | A variable that is being measured. The output value of an algebraic relationship |
Linear Relationship | An algebraic relationship whose graph that is a line. |
Additive Relationship | Compares the independent and dependent quantities of a relationship using addition. |
Multiplicative Relationship | Compares the independent and dependent quantities of a relationship using multiplication. |
Term | Each number in a sequence |
Variable | Is a symbol, usually a letter, used to represent an unknown number. |
Arithmetic Sequences | Found by adding the same number to the previous term. |
Geometric Sequence | Each term is found by multiplying the previous term by the same number. |
