y-intercept the y-value of the point where a line (or curve) cross the y-axis when the x-value is 0
co-efficent a constant number that is multiplied by a variable
slope(interept) y= mx+b (solve for y)
point(slope) y-y1 = m(x-x1)

tangent line a line that intersects a curve at one point
normal line a line that is perpendicular to the tangent line and goes through the point of tangency
