botany n - the scientific study of plants
chameleon n - a type of lizard that changes color
cultivate v - to grow crops; to prepare soil for growing crops OR to encourage the development of a friendship or an interest
habitat n - the environment a plant or an animal normally lives in
nurture v - to help to grow and develop; to take care of
talon n - the claw of a bird of prey, such as a hawk or an eagle
terrarium n - a clear container housing plans and small land animals
zoology n - the scientific study of animals
adage n - a traditional saying widely considered to be wise and true
alliteration n - repetition of sounds, usually consonants, especially at the beginnings of words
allusion n - an indirect reference to something
anthology n- a collection of writings by various authors
epic n - a long poem or other literary work about heroes and their adventures adj - grand or impressive in quality, size, or scope
hyperbole n- an extreme exaggeration
melodramatic adj - overly emotional or sentimental
personify v - to represent an animal, object, or idea as having human qualities OR to be a perfect example of a certain quality or idea
pseudonym n - a fake name used by an author, a pen name
seralized adj - presented in parts; presented in a sequence
