What factors affect friction? the types of surfaces involved, and how hard the surfaces are pushed together
What is Friction? force that two surfaces exert on each other when thy rub against each other
What is Sliding Friction? occurs when two solid surfaces slide over each other, makes object slow down
What is Static Friction? acts between objects that aren't moving
What is Fluid Friction? occurs when a solid object moves through a fluid or gas
What is Rolling Friction? object rolls across a surface
What is an example of Sliding Friction? fireman down a pole
What is an example of Static Friction? couch on a carpet
What is an example of Fluid Friction? animal in water or mid air
What is an example of Rolling Friction? a bike's wheel down a road

What is Gravity? the force that pulls objects toward eachother
What is the Law of Universal Gravitation? that the force of gravity acts between all objects in the universe that have mass
What is mass? measure of the amount of matter in an object
What is the SI unit of mass? kilogram
What is weight? measure of force of gravity on an object
