Some questions related to Year 8 Maths

How do you work out the squared and cubed number of a number? | For squared, times the number by itself. For cubed, times the number by itself, and then itself again. |
What does BIDMAS stand for? | Brackets, Indices, Division, Multiplication, Addition and Subtraction. |
What is the total exterior angle of every regular shape? | 360 degrees. |
What does Terry stand for? | Translation, Enlargement, Rotation, Reflection and You need to remember this! |
A sequence goes up in 1, 3, 5, 7 etc. What is the Nth term rule? | 2n-1 |
A point on a compass each has its own bearing. What is the bearing of South West? | 225 degrees. If it's a two digit bearing, there is a 0 before, e.g 045 degrees. |
What is the probability of rolling these numbers on 2 unbiased die: 1 and 2 | 0 and 2/36 or 1/18 |
What is 3/8 + 2/7 and how do you work it out? | 37/56. You find a common denominator, then x both sides by the other. |
