Constant of porportionality The constant ratio in a porportional linear relationship
Constant of variation A constant ratio in a direct variation
Constant rate of change The rate of change between any two points in a linear relationship
Direct variartion A relatiobship between 2 variable quantities with a canstant ratio
Linear relationship Relationships that have straight line graphs
Point slope form An equation of the form y-y1=m(x-x1) is given point on a nonvertical line
Rise An angle whose measure is exactlt 90 degrees
Run The horizontal change between any 2 points on a line
Slope The rate of change between any 2 pooints on a line
Slope intercept form An equation written in the form y=mx+b where m is the slope and b is the y intercept
Standard form An equation written in the for Ax+By=C
Substitution An algebraic model that can be used to find the exact solution of a system of equations
Systems of equations A set of 2 or more equations with the same variable
X-intercept The x coordinate of the point where in crosses the x axis
Y-intercept The y coordinate of the point where the lines crosses the x axis
