| Fern | a vascular plant that reproduces without seeds |
| Gymnosperm | a vascular plant that produces seeds that are not surrounded by a fruit |
| Conifer | a type of gymnosperm whose seeds develop inside a cone |
| Angiosperm | a flowering vascular plant whose seeds are surrounded by a fruit |
| Sexual reproduction | a type of reproduction in which a sperm cell and an egg cell join to form a new organism |
| Embryo | the tiny new organism in the ovary that is reproduced after a sperm cell and an egg cell joined |
| Nonflowering plants | they are plants that don't produce flowers or fruits, like gymnosperms |
