Unit 4 Math Vocab.

TermDefinition
Vertical Inequality an inequality that has x>c or x<c where c represents a number; the shaded area will look like a rectangle.
Horizontal Inequality an inequality that has y>c or y<c where c represents a number; the shaded area will look like a rectangle.
Solution to a System of Inequalities the region where the shaded areas overlap each other.
System of Inequalities multiple inequalities that are grouped together as a set.
x < (or equal to) the expression shade to the left of the graph.
x > (or equal to) the expression shade to the right of the graph.
y < (or equal to) the expression shade below the graph.
y > (or equal to) the expression shade above the graph.
