Graphing

TermDefinition
pictograph A graph that uses one graphic/symbol to represent data, the value of which may be defined in a key.
picture graph A graph that uses different pictures to represent data, the value of which may be defined in a key.
tally To count using tally marks.
greatest Most times represented.
least Fewest times represented.
bar graph A graph drawn using rectangular bars to show values.
analyze To study something closely to try to understand it better.
data A collection of facts or information.
category group
sort To separate into groups based on characteristics or attributes.
key The part of the graph that tells what each symbol or color stands for.
axis Line on the sides of a graph.

survey Collecting data by asking the same question to one person at a time.
