Representative Democracy A government in which the people vote for (elect) a smaller group of citizens to make the rules and laws for everyone
Mediterranean Sea Located near Greece and Rome. Trading took place here.
Arches the architecture of ancient Rome. Used these in the construction of their buildings
Human Charecteristics Rome was: Farmers, road builders, traders
Physical characteristics Rome was: Located next to a river; built on many hills; had limited rich soil
Mosaics Ancient Rome's art made by arranging small pieces of colored glass, stone, or other materials.
Aqueducts a bridge that is constructed to move water from one place to another.
Colosseum Famous ancient Rome Building made up of arches. This was a large theater or stadium
Parthenon This is the building built to honor the goddess of Athena. It is located in Greece.
Columns Ancient Greek arcitecture A large round support with a top and base , usually made of stone
