Interviewing

QuestionAnswer
What is a job interview? A meeting between an employer and aj ob applicant to discuss possible employment.
What is body language? The gestures, posture and eye contact you use to send messages.
What does a firm handshake signal? Confidence
What can you do to prepare for an interview? Review online reputation, practice questions,learn about the company, assemble needed materials, personal hygiene.
What do you take with you to an interview? Resume, pen, paper, a list of questions to ask, samples of your work, work permit, a folder
What time should you arrive at the interview? At least 15 minutes before.
Who do you take to an interview? No one
When you walk in to the interview, you should? Introduce yourself and shake the interviewer's hand.
What are some positive body language you should use during the interview? Nod to show you are paying attention, eye contact, sit up straight.
What is the purpose of a follow-up letter? Thank the interviewer, keeps your name in front of the interviewer, shows you are interested in job, reinforce key points from interview, mention something you forgot.
What are conditions of employment? Working hours, salary, benefits, starting date. (specific job details)
First thing to do after an interview: evaluate how the interview went.
