Algebra terms, properties, combining and simplifying

| 17 x 1 = 17 | Identity Property of Multiplication. The product of any number and one is that number (The number "keeps its identity") |
| 4+(8+2) = (4+8)+2 | The Associative Property of Addition (a+b)+c = a+(b+c) |
