On our Shopbot, the X axis is the long dimension on the table. X Axis
What will be the shorter dimension across the table, parallel to the Gantry? Y Axis
What is the plunge of the Spindle? Z Axis
What are Soft Stops that ensure the Gantry knows its position and doesn't exceed the working area of the table? Proximity Switches
What are Hard Stops that physically prevent the machine operations from exceed the working area of the table? Mechanical Stops
