HFL math 8 Rotations

QuestionAnswer
Rotation A transformation that a figure goes through.
Center of rotation A figure is turned about a fixed point.
Angle of rotation FOrmed by rays drawn from the center of a rotation through corresponding points.
Rotational symmetry A figure has rotational symmetry if a rotation of 180 degrees produces the same figure
Plane figures A shape on a plane
Fixed Constant never changing
Point The geometric figure at the intersection of two distinct lines.
Angle Two rays sharing a common end points.
