QuestionAnswer
Pythagorean Theorem The sum of the squares of the lengths a and b of the legs equals the square of the length c of the hypotenuse. (a^2+b^2=c^2)
Hypotenuse The Side opposite of the right angle.
Legs The sides that form off of the right angle.
Right Angle An angle that measures 90 degrees.
Square Root A number when multiplied by itself gives the original number.
Radical The square root symbol, which is used to indicate square roots.
Variable A quantity that can change or that may take on different values.
Area The number of square units needed to cover a surface.
Perimeter The sum of the lengths of all sides of a polygon.
