HFL Math 8-Factoring

QuestionAnswer
GCF the greatest common factor of a set pair or group of non-zero numbers.
Monomials a number, variable, or product of a number and one or more variables raised to whole number powers.
Relatively Prime the greatest common factor of the pair or group of numbers is one.
Factors of a Polynomial the monomials or polynomials that, when multiplied together, result in the original polynomial.
Prime Number A whole number that is greater than one and has exactly two whole number factors, 1 and itself.
Composite Number A whole number that is greater than one and has more than two whole number factors.
Prime Factorization writing a number as a product of prime numbers
Common Factor A whole number that is a factor of two or more non-zero numbers.
