Chemical change A change that results in the making of a new substance
Physical change A change in a substance that changes it's physical form and no new substance is formed
Chemical property The ability to make a change in the chemical structure
Physical property The ability to make a change in the physical structure or physical traits
Synthesis Two molecules/atoms combine to make a substance
Decompistion When a substance come apart and separates
Single replacment When one of a substance's atoms/molecules get replaced by a new atom/molecule
Double replacment When two substance's atoms/molecules replace each other
Atom A basic unit of matter
Molecule A group of two or more atoms that bond and combine
Conservation of mass Cannot create or destroy matter
Reactants Two molecules or elements that result in a product
Products The results of the reactants
