| Chemical change | A change that results in the making of a new substance |
| Physical change | A change in a substance that changes it's physical form and no new substance is formed |
| Chemical property | The ability to make a change in the chemical structure |
| Physical property | The ability to make a change in the physical structure or physical traits |
| Synthesis | Two molecules/atoms combine to make a substance |
| Decompistion | When a substance come apart and separates |
| Single replacment | When one of a substance's atoms/molecules get replaced by a new atom/molecule |
| Double replacment | When two substance's atoms/molecules replace each other |
| Atom | A basic unit of matter |
| Molecule | A group of two or more atoms that bond and combine |
| Conservation of mass | Cannot create or destroy matter |
| Reactants | Two molecules or elements that result in a product |
| Products | The results of the reactants |
