Change of Matter

TermDefinition
Chemical Change A change of the chemical properties.
Physical Change A change of the physical properties.
Chemical Property The chemical characteristics.
Physical Property The physical characteristics.
Synthesis A reaction that takes 2 atoms to make a molecule.
Deccomposition A reaction that takes a molecule and break it down.
Single Replacement A reaction that only replaces 1 atom.
Double Replacement A reaction that replaces more than 1 atom.
Atom The stuff that makes up everything around us.
Molecule A group of atoms.
Conservation of Mass A principle that states that mass cannot be made or destroyed.
Reactants The stuff you start with in a reaction.
Products The solution/ outcome of a reaction
