| resolve | to make a firm decision about something |
| proposition | a subject to be debated |
| evidence | facts and examples that prove something |
| persuade | to try and convince someone |
| contention | a strong statement to support one side of the arguement |
| affirmative side | side that supports proposition |
| negative side | side that opposes proposition |
| oppose | to be against something |
| rebuttal | a response to a counter arguement |
| concede | to admit that someone else is right |
| counterargument | an opposing argument or response |
