Congruent Figures Figures that have the same size and same shape.
Corresponding Angles Matching angles

Transformation Changes a figure into another figure
Image The new figure from a transformation
Translation A transformation in which a figure slides but does not turn
Reflection A transformation in which a figure is reflected in a line called the line of reflection
Rotation A transformation in which a figure is rotated about a point called the center of rotation
Angle of Rotation The number of degrees a figure rotates
Similar Figures Figures that have the same shape but not the same size.
Dilation A transformation in which a figure is made larger or smaller with respect to a point called the Center of Dilation
Scale Factor The ratio of the side lengths of the image to the corresponding side lengths of the origional figure
