TermDefinition
Urban Found or living in a city.
Rural Found in or living in areas that are not close cities.
Gross Domestic Product (GDP) The total value of goods and services produced in a country in a year.
Gross Domestic Product per Capita (GDP per capita) Total value of goods and services produced in a year DIVIDED by the population. (This statistic reveals the average wealth per person in a country)
Literacy The ability to read and write.
Life Expectancy The average age to which a person in a given population can expect. (Life expectancy varies from one country to another)
Infrastructure The basic facilities and structures (roads, bridges, buildings) that are needed for a country to function.
Telecommunications Electronically transmitted communication.
