What is an element? A pure substance made from one type of atom.
What is a compound? A pure substance made from more than one kind of atom.

what is a solution? A mixture where one substance is dissolved in another
What is a heterogeneous mixture? A mixture that the particles are visible to see with the human eye.
What is a homogeneous mixture? A mixture where the particles are too small to see with the human eye.
What is a proton? a positively charged sub-atomic particle.
What is a neutron? a neutrally charged sub-atomic particle.
What is an electron? a negatively charged sub-atomic particle.
What is the atomic number? The muber of protons in an atom.
What is the atomic mass? the Mass of the Protons and neutrons added together.
